Jana and Tricia discuss the book Heart Berries by Terese Marie Mailhot and how wonderful it is to read the raw words of a Native woman navigating mental illness and institutionalization. They also shout out the Indigenous Red Market in Oakland founded by Urban Native Era and the Native American Health Center. Both Jana and Tricia are desperate to see new forms of therapy and discussion about body justice in Native-only spaces, for themselves but also for young people who are carrying these same traumas into their own adulthoods.
